PN 5091C, Microtiter Plate (96T)
Chloramphenicol is a broad spectrum antibiotic which was widely used in veterinary medicine. Since 1994 the use of chloramphenicol is banned within the European Community. The Chloramphenicol EIA test is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the screening of chloramphenicol in tissue, plasma, serum, urine, eggs, milk, honey and aqua culture products. Since the antibody used in this testsystem recognizes chloramphenicol-glucuronide, this substance can be analysed without prior hydrolysis. The dose-response curve shows a measuring range of 0.025-2 ng/ml. Diluted urine and defatted milk samples can be applied directly in the test with a detection limit of 0.1 ng/ml. In milk, a 10 times lower detection limit can be obtained by applying a simple extraction procedure. For all matrices extraction procedures are described in detection limits up to 0.01 ng/g. |
